Police arrest two for break-in and assault

WACO, TX (KXXV) - Police have arrested two people accused of breaking into home and assaulting a woman in a reported dispute over child support, owed money, and family issues.

Tamara Forcey, 31, and Rodney Dwayne Ratliff, 34, have been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity. Ratliff also faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, theft of a firearm, and possession of marijuana under 2 ounces. Forcey was named in a theft from the elderly warrant out of Hill County.

Sgt. Patrick Swanton with Waco PD says the arrests are in connection with an incident on March 12. Several people broke into a home in the 1700 block of N. 15th St., about 6 p.m.

Police say the people who broke in assaulted a woman there by beating her, ripping off her wig, and pulling earrings from her ears. This was caused by a reported dispute over child support, money being owed, and various family issues, according to police.

Forcey and Ratliff were arrested on an engaging in organized criminal activity charge because it was a group offense.
