Waco gentlemen's club robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning

Posted:
WACO - Two bandits are on the run after an early morning robbery at a local strip club. It happened just before three Wednesday morning at the Two Minnies Gentleman's Club in the 600 block of Ruby.

Police say employees were closing down the club for the night when one suspect confronted the manager with a gun at the exit door. Another suspect entered the club, and they both demanded cash.

The two black men in dark clothing and masks were taken to the club's safe. The suspects were able to take an undisclosed amount of cash not only from the business, but the employees as well.

Police say they don't normally see a robbery like this.

"We do not know if they know who was all in the establishment. A little unusual for a robbery like this to occur with a lot of people inside like that. We don't know if they thought it may have been a cleaning crew or who was in there," Waco police spokesman Patrick Swanton.

The thieves did manage to get away, but not before they smashed the employees' phones and took their car keys. Witnesses say the suspects were last seen running towards Sanger avenue.

No one was injured in the incident.
