TEMPLE - A 23-year-old Temple man has been arrested after officers searched his home and found about 17 grams of crack cocaine.

Marquell Rashon Linear faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance, more than four grams.

Chris Wilcox with Temple PD says agents with the Special Investigations Unit and Problem Oriented Police Services Unit served a narcotics search warrant at a home in the 4600 block of Calle Nogal.

During the search, officers found approximately 17 grams of a substance they suspected was crack cocaine. The substance was tested at the scene, and it tested positive for cocaine. A small amount of marijuana and a loaded handgun were also found at the home.

The Bell County District Attorney's Office reviewed the case on Wednesday, May 14. A complaint was issued, charging Linear with possession of a controlled substance.
