The jury selection will begin on Jan. 17, 2018.

Dinwiddie, along with three other officers, were shot while serving a search warrant.

Guy and a 49-year-old woman opened fire on authorities, hitting Dinwiddie in the face.

The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. Friday, in the 1100 block of Circle M Drive in

Killeen. A Killeen tactical response unit and a central Texas Organized crime unit came to serve a search warrant. When two officers tried to enter the apartment, a man and a woman opened fire.

Neighbors like Adam Krautheim awoke to the sounds of multiple gunshots going off.

"I came outside and the whole street was just littered with emergency response vehicles, police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances," says Krautheim. "I was only out here about five minutes before I was asked to step back inside, but during that time I saw wounded officers being loaded into the back of the ambulance."

The two injured officers were rushed to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, before they were transported to Scott & White in Temple.
