Police searching for Waco kidnapping suspect

WACO - Waco police are looking for a man who abducted a woman from a local convenience store and held her at a nearby home.

Police got a call from the Alon convenience store at 25th and Waco Dr. about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday night, on a report of a woman who had been abducted.

The investigation showed the woman who was abducted had gone to the convenience store to meet an old friend about money she owed him. She met with the friend, and told him she did not have the money. The man became angry and tried to force her into a car.

The woman ran into the convenience store and tried to lock herself in a restroom. Police say the man then pulled her out and hit her in the back of the head with a gun, then forced her into a car and drove her to a house that was a couple blocks away from the store.

The man then went back to the convenience store to get the victim's car. While he was doing that, the victim was able to crawl out of the window.

The suspect fled from police when he saw them at the convenience store. The victim was able to make her way back to the store and met with police, who are looking for the suspect.
