UPDATE: Police no longer suspect Texas man in Target data breach

Posted:
GEORGETOWN - UPDATE 10:45 p.m.: Georgetown police say they no longer suspect 40-year-old Guo Xing Chen in massive December 2013 Target data breach.

Police have arrested a man allegedly linked to the large scale Target data breach last year.

The arrest affidavit says 40-year-old Guo Xing Chen may have been involved in the massive $70 million Target credit breach.

Police say that Chen used a stolen credit card or debit card and was pursued by officers on December 12, 2013, in Georgetown. Chen used other credit/debit cards at Target locations in Round Rock and Temple in other incidents.

Target had issued an internal "Be On The Lookout" alert to stores within Central Texas.

Chen has an outstanding felony warrant for credit/debit card abuse in Arkansas.
