The trial for the West Fertilizer Plant explosion will have to wait a few more months. On Thursday, lawyers from both sides discussed a few changes that need to be made before the trial begins. Among them is the start of the trial.
Instead of beginning on January 27, 2015, the trial will start six months later on July 27, 2015. The reason for the delay is because another defendant has been added to the lawsuit, El Dorado Chemical Company. Lawyers for the chemical company say they will need more time to prepare for the trial.
