Police seek Killeen bank robbery suspect

KILLEEN - Killeen police are searching for a man who robbed the First National Bank in Killeen Wednesday afternoon.

Police say they got a call at 1 p.m., saying that a man had robbed the First National Bank, located in the 4300 block of East Central Texas Expressway. Officers arrived on the scene and were told an older male, believed to be in his 50s, had handed a teller a note demanding money.

The teller told police the man was armed with a weapon. The robber then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, and fled in an unknown direction.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The robber is described as an unshaven white man in his 50s, who was wearing a gray shirt under a vest, with light colored jeans, and black tennis shoes, along with glasses and a red hat with the golf brand, "Titleist" on the front. He is believed to be around 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds.
