Killeen man arrested for assault and threatening officers with knife

KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) - A 28-year-old Killeen man is in the Bell County Jail after police say he threatened officers with a knife and assaulted a family member at a Killeen home.

John Fabian Rodriguez has been charged with assault bodily injury of a family member and aggravated assault against a public servant. He is being held in lieu of a $105,000 bond for the charges.

Officers were called out to a home in the 4500 block of Bluestem Ln., just before noon on April 20, about a domestic disturbance. After arriving on the scene, police found one person that had been assaulted and a man that was holding a knife.

As officers approached the man with the knife, identified as Rodriguez, police say he pointed the knife at them and threatened them. Officers were able to subdue him and take him into custody.

Rodriguez was initially taken to the Killeen holding cell, but he was booked into the Bell County Jail on Tuesday, April 22.
