One dead, three injured from crash in Leon County

LEON COUNTY, TX (KXXV) - A 46-year-old Buffalo woman was killed and three others were injured during a crash Saturday morning in Leon County.

According to DPS, the accident occurred April 19, at 11:20 a.m., on HWY 79, four miles south of Buffalo.

DPS says a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup truck was southbound on 79 and the driver attempted a left hand turn into a private parking lot, when the truck was hit on the passenger side by a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup that was northbound.

Rosalinda Esquivel, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was the passenger of the truck that was turning into the parking lot. The 58-year-old driver of that truck was injured.

The driver and passenger of the other truck were also injured in the crash. The 41-year-old driver was taken to Scott & White in serious condition and the 4-year-old passenger is in critical condition at Scott & White.
