The Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board will hold a public meeting on April 22, to hear preliminary findings from the CSB's investigation team about the West Fertilizer Plant explosion.

The meeting is set to start at 5:30 p.m., at the Southside Community Center, 205 Tokio Rd.

The public meeting is to let West residents and others know how the incident occurred and how future incidents can be prevented or reduce the damage, according to a release sent out by the CSB. CSB has invited "stakeholders" in the emergency response community to give insight.

The public will also be allowed to speak at the meeting, following the presentations.
