WACO - A McLennan County man is facing numerous charges, including drug charges, after running from police after they tried to stop him.

Carl Morris Coleman faces multiple drug charges, a parole violation, and evading arrest in a motor vehicle. He is being held on a total $130,000 bond on all the charges.

Coleman was caught after a foot chase in a creek after fleeing officers attempts to stop him at 34th and Gorman. As he fled from officers, he ended up on a dead end street and left his car.

Officers caught Coleman running through a creek and used a Taser to stop him. Police recovered a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamines, marijuana, and 54 pills of ecstasy. Packing material frequently used for distribution was also recovered.

Coleman had been on parole since October on a cocaine charge, and had a previous conviction for burglary of a habitation.
