Houston man arrested for murder at Temple convenience store

TEMPLE - Police have arrested a 20-year-old Houston man for a murder at a Temple convenience story on April 2, after he was identified as the man on surveillance videos from the store.

Corey Thomas Williams has been charged with the murder of Mazhar "Johnny" Aslam Khan. Khan, the owner of Pool's Grocery, was shot and killed the night of April 2 as a man walked into the convenience store and shot two men.

Williams was found in Beaumont and is custody in Harris County. He will be extradited to Bell County.

The Bell County District Attorney's Office reviewed the case Friday, April 4, and issued a complaint. An arrest warrant was issued later that day.
