Waco police have "person of interest" for morning business break-in

WACO - Waco police have a "person of interest" in custody in connection with a break-in at the Waco Oncor equipment yard Friday morning.

Police responded to a call from security personnel with Oncor after they saw someone inside the equipment yard, located at their facility in the 3600 block of Franklin. The person was apparently trying to take copper from the equipment yard.

When police arrived, they found a man nearby who they are looking at as a "person of interest" in the break-in.

They also determined that the man, identified as 38-year-old Jamie Gonzales, had outstanding warrants out of Travis County. He is being held on those warrants as the investigation goes on.

Police also found a woman hiding nearby, but she is not being held.
