Man arrested for making threats at area DMV identified

COPPERAS COVE - Police have arrested a Copperas Cove man accused of making threats involving a gun at a Copperas Cove Driver's License Office Monday morning.

Carlos Cardona, 39, has been charged with terroristic threat for the incident. He is being held on $75,000 bond and is in the custody of the Coryell County Sheriff's Department.

Copperas Cove PD got a call at 8:38 a.m., about a man with a gun who was making threats at the DMV, located in the 200 block South 2nd St.

Officers arrived on the scene and the suspect was taken into custody. Police say the suspect was found to be unarmed.

There were no injuries reported during the incident, which is still under investigation.
