Woman charged with 2013 murder of elderly man in Killeen

BELL COUNTY - A 25-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the October 2013 murder of an elderly man in Killeen.

Christian Charlene Bohannon has been arrested and charged with the murder of Jack B. Ray in October 2013. She was arrested in Killeen and her bond has been set at $1 million.

Jack B. Ray was found dead outside his home on FM 439 in Killeen when a friend stopped by to pick him up for breakfast October 12, 2013. Investigators say the house had been "ransacked" and Ray was found in the backyard.

Ray's body was sent for an autopsy, which found multiple blunt force injuries to the head.

Authorities began investigating the homicide and investigators soon developed Bohannon as a suspect. Authorities say the investigation showed that Bohannon went to steal from Ray's home. Bohannon told police that during the theft, Ray was hit with a golf club.

The Bell County Sheriff Investigators presented a case to the Bell County District Attorney's Office on Friday, March 21. Johanna was charged with the capital murder of Jack Ray and an arrest warrant was issued for Bohannon.

Bohannon was arrested over the weekend without incident and taken to the Bell County Jail.

The Bell County Sheriff's Office received multiple tips about a mid-sized blue Sedan parked in the driveway of the home around the time they believe the crime occurred.
