Baylor student taken to hospital after being hit by car
WACO, TX (KXXV) -
A 21-year-old female Baylor student is recovering from injuries after being hit by a car at 4th and Daughtrey Ave. in Waco Wednesday morning.
Waco police say the incident occurred just after 11 a.m. when a shuttle bus heading south had stopped at 4th and Daughtrey. A 21-year-old Baylor student got off the bus, ran around behind the bus, and then crossed the street.
She was struck by a car driven by a 20-year-old Baylor student. She suffered what were called "significant" injuries, including broken bones. Police say she regained consciousness during first aid on the scene and before being transported to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
Police say the 20-year-old driver of the car was not cited.
