Ruben Miguel Alaniz was handed a second life sentence in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of robbery enhanced.

In a statement, McLennan County District Attorney Abel Reyna said, "We are very pleased that the judge saw that Ruben Alaniz was a very dangerous criminal who needed to spend the rest of his life in jail. This sentence along with the jury's previous life sentence will ensure that Ruben Alaniz never preys on another McLennan County citizen."
