WACO - A five month long investigation resulted in seven people being arrested for their part in a giant drug ring at a motel on I-35 in Waco.

Summer Skains Cockrell, Dedrick Evans, Michael Flores, Martie Rene McMinn, Chris Pena, Paul Ray Resendez and Billy Joe Wyers were all arrested following the investigation into the drug ring.

The McLennan County Sheriff's Office Organized Crime Unit, the McLennan County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division and the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division finished their long term investigation Monday, March 10. The investigation resulted in seven people being arrested for possession of controlled substances, delivery of controlled substances and fugitive warrants.

The sheriff's office says the investigation started with a traffic stop. Investigators gathered information that showed people were trafficking in illegal drugs at a motel on I-35 in Waco.

The traffic stop and surveillance led authorities to search two motel rooms, where they found a large amount of crystal meth. Deputies say they were not just dealing meth. They also found cocaine, pot, Xanax, and hydrocodone.

Equipment used to make fake I.D.s were also seized by investigators. Summer Cockrell is also being investigated for fraudulent use/possession of identifying information.

Deputies aren't releasing the name of the motel where the bust happened, because it's owners were very cooperative in the investigation.
