Police arrest man on multiple drug charges

Posted:
MOODY - Moody police arrested a man Monday afternoon on multiple drug charges after police say they found several different drugs on him.

Randy Lee Brandon faces multiple charges of possession of a controlled substance and he is being held on a total $75,000 bond for the charges.

Moody police got a call about a man chasing a younger boy on foot throughout the town during the noon hour on Monday. Police received another call later that indicated the boy being chased had locked himself in a house, but the man chasing him was still in the area.

After getting a couple more calls, Moody police enlisted Bruceville-Eddy officers to help in a search for the man.

The man, later identified as Randy Lee Brandon, was found a short time later, in a ditch, on the side of a road on the north side of Moody. Officers reported that they believed he was high on something.

Police say they found drugs on Brandon, including crack cocaine, meth and morphine sulfate. Brandon was transported to Scott & White hospital. He was taken to the McLennan County Jail on multiple drug charges after he was cleared from the hospital.
