FORT HOOD -
The building where most of the events of the Nov. 5th, 2009 shooting massacre on Fort Hood took place was destroyed Tuesday.

Fort Hood's Directorate of Public Works completed demolition of Building 42003, which was part of the Soldier Readiness Processing Center.

That is where Nidal Hasan murdered 13 people and wounded 30 others in the November 2009 shootings. That area had been fenced off as a crime scene since that incident.

Fort Hood officials plan to plant trees, install a gazebo and mark the site with a remembrance plaque, in coordination with family members of the deceased and those wounded during the attack.
