CAMERON - Police are looking for a wanted fugitive from Cameron who fled from police as they tried to serve warrants on him Thursday.

Bobby Joe Blaylock Jr., 35, is wanted for criminal non-support from the Attorney General Office of Texas and for Cameron warrants.

A resident told police that Blaylock was at the intersection of 6th and Martin Luther King in Cameron. Officers went there to serve warrants on Blaylock on Thursday.

Police say Blaylock ran from police after they made contact with him. An officer got caught in a barbed wire fence that was hidden by tall grass during the chase. The officer was injured and treated at Little River Healthcare.

Blaylock was able to get away from officers and he is currently considered a wanted fugitive. A charge of evading arrest and detention was also added following the chase.

Officers from the Cameron Police Department, Milam County Sheriff’s Department, and Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers helped in the manhunt.

Anyone with information about Blaylock is asked to call the Cameron Police Department at 254 697-6574. Information will be kept confidential.
