WACO, TX (KXXV) - Waco police caught two burglary suspects after an alert neighbor called to report something that looked wrong Tuesday afternoon.

Someone noticed two people entering the back door of a neighbor's house in the 2200 block of Proctor Ave. and called police around noon.

Officers surrounded the home. One of the suspects broke out a window and ran as an officer went to the front door. Officers chased after him and caught him several blocks away.

Police say the other man hid in the house and was arrested.

Kelvin Brown, 25, was the man police say broke out the window and ran. He was arrested in the back yard of a home in the 2200 block of Live Oak. Brown was wanted on several warrants, including burglary of a habitation, theft and Waco PD traffic warrants.

Kevin Watson, 29, was arrested after police found him hiding in the house. Police say Watson had been released from jail at 6 a.m. that morning on other charges.

Both Brown and Watson have been charged with burglary of a habitation.
