Former Baylor football player gets 20 years for sexual assault

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

A former Baylor football player was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being convicted of two counts of sexual assault Thursday in McLennan County's 54th District Court.

Tevin Elliot said the sex he had with his accuser at a party at a south Waco home in 2012 was consensual.

Prosecutors found at least four other women who also said the 22-year old Elliot assaulted them.

The jury deliberated about a hour before convicting the former Bear's defensive end Thursday morning, then decided on a sentence early that evening.  Elliot was given 20 years and a $10,000 fine on each count of sexual assault with the prison sentences being served concurrently.
