Former West EMS Bryce Reed now in federal prison

Bryce Reed has reported to federal prison after being sentenced to 21 months.

The former West EMS volunteer pleaded guilty to having conspiracy to possess a destructive device and obstruction of justice in October, 2013. He was then sentenced to 21 months in prison in December.

The federal prison in Texarkana confirmed Friday that Reed reported to their facility on Thursday.

Reed also faces a three year probation and was given a $2,000 fine.

During the sentencing Reed told the judge how much his life has changed since the April 17th explosion in West. After the sentencing, his attorney Jonathan Sibley said the sentence was about what they expected.
