Fort Hood soldier convicted of child sexual misconduct charges

FORT HOOD, TX (KXXV) - An enlisted panel convicted a former Fort Hood Master Sgt. with the 89th Military Police Brigade of multiple child sexual misconduct and abuse charges at a court-martial.
 
Alan S. Guardado was found guilty of one charge of aggravated sexual contact with a child, three charges of indecent liberties with a child, three charges of assault consummated by a battery upon a child, one indecent language charge, one charge of indecent assault, one charge of indecent acts with a child and four charges of conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline and service discrediting. 

The panel sentenced Guardado to eight years of confinement, a rank downgrade to private and loss of pay and allowances.
