Police arrest area man wanted for manslaughter

KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) - Police have arrested a 28-year-old man who was wanted for manslaughter for a single vehicle accident in which a passenger was killed.

According to police, Orvin Scott Lee II was the driver involved in a single vehicle accident back on June 4 2013, in which a passenger was killed. Lee was seriously injured during the accident. Lee has been arrested on intoxication manslaughter charges. His bond has been set at $1,000,000. There is also a TDCJ hold on him for a parole violation.

Police later determined that Lee was drunk at the time of the accident and was transporting a half pound of marijuana.

The accident was investigated by Texas DPS, and a warrant was issued for intoxicated manslaughter, as well as a blue warrant for a parole violation.

The arrest was made about 2 p.m. Monday afternoon at a Killeen home. Police say the arrest came after a Crime Stoppers tip.
