Police investigating recent burglaries at Killeen storage facilities

KILLEEN - The Killeen Police Department is asking for the public's help as they investigate recent burglaries at Killeen area storage facilities.

According to a release from Carroll Smith, public affairs for Killeen PD, Killeen burglary detectives have seen an increase in burglaries at storage facilities recently. On Friday, they were notified of more burglaries at the Bell Mini Storage.

Officers responded to the storage facility, located in the 5900 block of E. Veteran's Memorial Blvd, at 9 a.m. Friday morning after the manager arrived and found a number of storage units had been burglarized. Items were stolen after the back fence to the facility had been cut, and the locks had been cut off the doors.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about any of the storage facility burglaries to call Crime Stoppers at 526-TIPS(8477) or go online at www.bellcountycrimestoppers.com or text BELLCO along with the tip to 274637. Text HELP for help with the tip or text STOP to stop the tip, message and data rates may apply.All information is confidential and you can remain anonymous. If your tip leads to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in this crime you could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 in cash.
