Teen accused of robbing kid at bus stop

KILLEEN - A Killeen teen has been arrested after police say he robbed a kid of his cell phone while the boy was waiting for his school bus back in December.

Diondre Tryon Middleton, 17, has been charged with robbery, as well as possession of marijuana and unlawfully carrying a weapon for another case. His is being held in lieu of $83,000 bond for the charges.

According to police, Middleton robbed a boy while he was waiting for the school bus on December 19 at 8 a.m. Police say the robbery happened at Aspen and Mesa in Killeen.

Middleton is accused of pulling up to the boy who was waiting for the bus, demanding his cell phone, then pulling out a knife when he would not give up his cell phone. Police did not release the age of the victim.

Middleton was stopped by officers about 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5. Officers found a gun in his car and marijuana on him. He was taken to the Bell County Jail when officers discovered the outstanding robbery warrant on him and then charged him with possession of marijuana and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
