Man pleads guilty to robbery in connection with Lampasas murder

LAMPASAS COUNTY - A man originally charged with murder in the Lampasas shooting death of a 43-year-old man back in January, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

Frank James Muns, 31, was set to go on trial for murder Monday morning, but instead pleaded guilty to a lesser charge. Muns entered a plea to one count of aggravated robbery late Friday afternoon.

As part of the plea deal, the murder charge, another aggravated robbery charge and a robbery charge were dismissed.

Muns was one of four suspects arrested in connection with the January murder of Curtis Lee Shed.
