Police searching for suspect accused of stealing donation jar

COPPERAS COVE, TX (KXXV) - The Copperas Cove Police Department has arrested one and is looking for another man accused of stealing a donation jar that was to be used to help the family of a Copperas Cove resident who had recently passed away.

According to police, three men entered the Fast Time Fine, located in the 500 block of N 1st St., on November 19, and stole the donation jar that had been placed there by the family of a resident who recently passed away. The money was going to be used to help the family with funeral expenses.

Police investigated the incident and identified two of the suspects as Timothy Sedric Martin Blackwell and Mitchell Alan Martin. Warrants were issued for Blackwell and Martin, and Martin was arrested on December 12.

Blackwell has not yet been arrested, but police are searching for him. The third suspect involved in the theft has been identified and a warrant is pending.

Copperas Cove PD is still investigating this case and is asking for any information that could help with the arrest of Blackwell.
