WACO - A Friday morning fight in Waco resulted in one man receiving stab wounds to the back and another going to jail.

Waco Police say the stabbing happened Friday morning, outside the Family Dollar store near 34th and Bosque.

Officers responded to the stabbing shortly before 9 a.m. According to police, the victim and his wife were inside the store when 42-year-old Henry Stanchiel started touching the victim's wife.

Police say two men got into an argument and then went outside the store, where the argument became physical. Stanchiel is accused of pulling out a knife and stabbing the victim several times in the back.

The victim was transported to Hillcrest by ETMC with non-life threatening injuries.

Stanchiel fled the scene and was taken into custody a short time later. Responding officers arrested him a few blocks away on Brook Circle.
