Man convicted of murder sentenced to life in prison

MCLENNAN COUNTY, TX (KXXV) - A local man who was convicted of murder on Wednesday has been sentenced to life in prison for the crime.

On Wednesday, a McLennan County jury found Allen Latoi Story guilty in the stabbing death of Zachary Davis in 2011. The punishment phase began Thursday morning and the jury sentenced Story to life in prison.

Davis was the brother of Story's girlfriend and intervened during an argument. He was stabbed three times by Story.

The state said Story killed Davis because Davis was trying to protect his sister.
