Police arrest man accused of October home robbery

Police have arrested a man accused of forcing his way into a Waco home and stealing a TV from inside.

Samuel Bryant Ware has been charged with robbery at a Waco home on October 9. He is being held on $35,000 bond.

Officers were dispatched to a home in the 1200 block of N. 22nd at 4:40 a.m., about a woman screaming.

When officers arrived, they found a 39-year-old woman who had been assaulted and had her home robbed. The victim told police that she heard someone knocking at her door and saw that it was a man that she had met at a store a few weeks prior, who she only knew as Sammy.

The victim opened the door slightly and told Ware it wasn't a good time and for him to come back later. Police say Ware then forced his way in and started punching the victim in the face.

While the assault was taking place, two other men entered the home and took a TV and put it in a dark colored car that was backed into the driveway.

According to police, Ware then ran out and got in the car, which then sped away.
