American, Eagle cancel nearly 1K flights amid ice

DALLAS (AP) - American Airlines and American Eagle have canceled nearly 1,000 flights as a North Texas ice storm affects travel systemwide.

Dallas-based Southwest Airlines canceled nearly 90 flights systemwide Friday.

Officials with Dallas Area Rapid Transit canceled rail service due to ice on the tracks. Travelers were being switched to DART buses.
