Police seize $50,000 worth of cocaine during vehicle search, four arrested


Police seized about $50,000 worth of cocaine while conducting a multi-suspect/vehicle search on Wednesday at the Motel Six in South Waco on I-35.

The investigation was initiated by the Waco Police Department's Drug Enforcement Section. The Waco P.D. SWAT, McLennan County Sheriff's Office SWAT and the McLennan County Sheriff's Office Organized Crime Unit assisted.

Officers conducted a multi-suspect/vehicle stop Wednesday. Officers seized approximately one pound of cocaine, which has a street value of roughly $50,000.

Four men were taken into custody and no injuries were reported to the suspects or officers.

Juan Pablo Martinez,  Othon Rodriguez-Arroyo, Manuel Vargas, and Arturo Zavaleta-Benitez were the four men who were arrested. Martinez, Rodriguez-Arroyo and Zavaleta-Benitez have immigration detainers on them.

This investigation is still ongoing.
