Waco murder suspect brought to McLennan County Jail to await trial

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

A 22-year-old man, who is suspected of an April murder in Waco, has been transported to the McLennan County Jail to await trial. The suspect was being held at TDCJ in Huntsville for robbery charges in North Texas.

Aveaon Roshun Anderson will be facing trial in the shooting death of 17-year-old Dhaodrique Eastland in a parking lot, in the 1300 block of West Waco Dr. The shooting occurred in the early morning hours of April 29 and was Waco's first recorded murder of 2013.

A 19-year-old man was also wounded during the incident. Both victims were shot multiple times.

Anderson was arrested back in June in Duncanville. He was brought for trial from TDCJ in Huntsville, where he had been sent after being sentenced to 8 years in September for two robberies in Dallas County. He has also been charged with a robbery in Tarrant county.
