Driver leaves hole in house, then flees

A Waco home is left with a hole in one of its walls after a truck crashed into it late Tuesday night.

The home is located in the 2900 block of Wooded Acres and the truck crashed into the house about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday night.

Neighbors say they saw a truck driving down the street, when it hit a curb, bounced up on to the lawn and crashed into the house.

The driver of the truck then drove off. No one inside the house was hurt during the crash.

The crash left a 6 foot hole in the wall. The laundry room was flooded and the crash destroyed the washer and dryer. Shrubbery around the home was also damaged.

The homeowner's daughter says there is a vacant lot nearby where people go to drink, and she suspects the driver was drunk.

Police are still looking for the driver.
