A Copperas Cove man was arrested in connection with several burglaries and an incident in which a church was broken into.

Frank Scott Hedges is being held on multiple charges in connection with a series of burglaries. Those charges are, burglary of a habitation, burglary of a building, unlawful possession of a firearm, and theft of a firearm. Hedges' bond has been set at $100,000.

Court papers indicate police obtained an arrest warrant for Hedges after tracing a shotgun taken in one burglary back to him. The shotgun had been sold to one of his co-workers.

Hedges' name was also included in another warrant about an incident at the Jesus Name Apostolic Church. The church, located in the 300 block of Casa Dr. in Copperas Cove, was broken into.

The intruder kicked in a door but was frightened off by someone inside the church. The person inside the church later picked Hedges out of a photo lineup.
