Authorities seized weapons, marijuana and cash after serving a search warrant at a Robinson home Tuesday morning.

McLennan County and Woodway SWAT members, along with McGregor PD, served a search warrant at a home in the 1000 block of Willard in Robinson, just before 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. Robinson PD also assisted.

McGregor police say the raid came as part of an ongoing investigation with ties to McGregor.

Derrik Clinton Wharton, 34, was arrested and taken to the McLennan County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana and money laundering.

In addition to marijuana and $2,220 in cash being seized, five weapons, including a handgun and four rifles were recovered.

UPDATE: Authorities say they learned that Wharton's 15-year-old son was bragging at Midway High School about his father having a hidden compartment in the house and that law enforcement officers did not find everything.

After hearing about this, officers obtained another search warrant for Wharton's home. Officers from McGregor PD and Robinson PD executed another search warrant on October 31.

According to police, officers located a hidden room and found indoor marijuana grow equipment inside, as well as a small amount of marijuana. They seized grow lamps, buckets and timers from the room.

Officers also found a wireless surveillance system used to watch what was going on in the grow room. Wharton was arrested for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces and held at the McLennan County Jail.
