Two suspects at large after capital murder in Waco


Waco Police report that a drug deal gone bad resulted in a man being murdered and his killers are still at large.

At 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, police responded to a shooting call at the Lafayette Apartments in the 2500 block of Ethel Avenue.

They arrived to find 44-year-old Leslie David Lee dead from gunshot wounds.

Police report Lee and a friend went to the apartments for a drugs, but midway through a deal, they were robbed by two men.

They think Lee tried to draw his handgun, but the other men were faster and shot him to death.

The shooters then fled on foot. Lee's friend wasn't injured. Waco Police are doing what they can to track down the suspects.

Lee's body has been sent to Dallas for an autopsy.
