Two women wanted in connection with burglary, forgery ring now in jail

Waco police have issued arrest warrants for two women connected to a string of burglaries and forgeries in the Waco and China Spring areas.

Jennifer Marie Beck, 26, and Brandi Rene Keel, 24, are now in the McLennan County Jail. Keel was arrested by a McLennan County Sheriff's Deputy on a traffic stop about 5 a.m. Thursday morning, after a brief struggle. Beck turned herself in.

A SWAT team and detectives executed a search warrant Tuesday morning at a home at 1585 Washington Lane in McLennan County and recovered stolen property, including jewelry and a musical instrument.

Investigators say they also know who has several firearms that were stolen in that series of burglaries, and they are waiting to see if those weapons are returned before additional charges are filed.

The McLennan County grand jury indicted Keel Wednesday on a previous charge of possession of methamphetamine.  Police say both women may face additional charges along with others as the case develops.
