Two Baylor students arrested in connection with drug operation

WACO -

Two Baylor students were arrested in connection with a recent drug operation that police believe sells more than $30,000 of drugs a month to Baylor students.

Police arrested four people back in August who were accused of running a drug operation that sells approximately $30,000 to $40,000 worth of marijuana a month to Baylor students.

As part of that investigation, 22-year-old Baba Fahnbeullen and 19-year-old Jay Kumar were arrested following a search warrant served October 1.

This anti-drug operation involves McGregor PD, other police departments and Baylor PD. Joe Coy with McGregor PD says mushrooms, marijuana, ecstasy, and adderall were recovered after a search warrant was served Oct. 1.

Arrest warrants were obtained for Fahnbeullen and Kumar following the search.

Kumar was arrested by Hubbard police when they stopped to check on a group of fraternity members who were being dropped off at a cemetery there. When police ran the names of the group, the warrant for Kumar was discovered and he was taken into custody.

More arrests are expected in this drug ring near the Baylor campus.
