KILLEEN -

Killeen Police executed search warrants at two businesses on Wednesday and arrested two people accused of making money from illegal gambling machines.

Two Killeen residents, 27-year-old Khatri Sagar and 55-year-old Clara Guzman, were arrested on charges of keeping a gambling place, gambling promotion and possession of gambling paraphernalia.

Police say complaints of illegal gambling had been reported at Gateway Food Mart and The Booze Liquor Store, located in the 4200 block of E. Rancier in Killeen.

Undercover officers investigated these complaints, and were able to confirm these businesses were making money from illegal gambling machines.

On October 2, Killeen Police North Precinct Special Investigation Division executed search and arrest warrants at Gateway Food Mart and The Booze Liquor Store. Gambling devices and $37,000 were seized during the search warrant.

More arrests are expected to be made in connection with this investigation.
