An accident at Highway Six and Business Six Monday evening in Falls County, sent multiple people to area hospitals, but according to trooper DL Wilson, no one was seriously injured.

DPS Troopers say the accident occurred south of Marlin, when a 1992 Chevy Pickup, driven by a Mexia man, entered the southbound lanes of the highway as he drove up an exit ramp. The pickup collided near head on with a 2005 Saturn.

After the accident, all occupants were out of their vehicles, when a 2002 Honda topped the hill and hit some of the victims standing by the wreck.

Troopers report no one was seriously injured.

Four helicopters were called out to take five people to local hospitals. Two ambulances also responded and took patients to either Dell Hospital in the Austin-area or Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

The investigation remains open.
