Local man faces multiple charges for two violent incidents

A 29-year-old Waco man is being held on a total of $380,000 bond after police say he was involved in two separate violent incidents at a Waco home.

Ricardo Vela Ramon faces charges of criminal mischief over $500, assault family violence, injury to a child and burglary of a habitation/assault for two alleged violent visits he made to his common law wife's home.

Police say Ramon was arrested Thursday afternoon after an incident at a home in the 4700 block of Rolando. He is accused of spraying a flammable liquid in his common law wife's face, and damaging her vehicle while it was parked in the driveway.

There were already outstanding arrest warrants out for Ramon for another visit he made to the same home back on June 26 at 2:15 a.m. The victim's car was also damaged during that incident.

According to police, during the June 26th incident, the victim and a 13-year-old child were hit with shards of glass, after a glass door was shattered when Ramon threw an object at it. Police also accuse Ramon of entering the home and punching the woman in the face.
