Police arrest man after he tried to pawn stolen items

Police arrested a man after he tried to pawn tools and a high end bike that were reported stolen from area homes.

Andrew Monrial Jr. has been charged with theft over $1,500, burglary with intent to commit a felony/theft and a Robinson warrant for burglary of habitation.

Police received a report of a bike being stolen from a home in the 10000 block of Condor Loop, in the China Spring area. The stolen bike is a 2011 Cona Jake, valued at $1,650. Police say the bike was stolen off the victim's front porch sometime between September 5 and 6.

Monrial is also accused of breaking into the garage of a home in the 4300 block of Green Oak Drive, on September 2. Police say he stole an air compressor, tools and sporting equipment.

According to police, Monrial tried to pawn the bike and other items at Easy Pawn, in the 1000 block of Valley Mills in Waco.

UPDATE: On November 20, a McLennan County Grand Jury returned indictments against Monrial. The indictments were for three charges of burglary of a habitation.
