Killeen police investigate late night shooting

KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) -

Killeen police are looking for four men involved in a late night shooting.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 2007 Schwald Road in reference to a disturbance just after midnight. Police in route were notified of one gunshot victim, as well as a second victim, who was found later in the 2200 block of Garrett Drive. 

Preliminary investigations revealed that four armed men, all wearing masks, forced their way into the residence and demanded money. The two residents attempted to flee the home, but one was shot in the leg, while the other victim was shot in the back. The four suspects left the home in an unknown vehicle, heading southbound on Schwald Road.

The first victim was transported to the Carl R. Darnell Army Medical Center, and the second victim was taken to Scott and White Memorial Hospital. Both men are listed in stable condition.

All information is confidential and if your tip results in the arrest of the person(s) responsible for this shooting, you could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 in cash.

This case remains under investigation, and information will be released as it becomes available.
