TSTC student charged with robbery

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

A TSTC student is accused of robbery following a dispute in a parking lot on the TSTC campus.

Kevin Michael Murphree was arrested Tuesday and charged with robbery for an incident that happened on the TSTC campus.

Police say the incident happened in the parking lot of the Village Oaks Apartments on the TSTC campus.

A TSTC spokesman says there was a dispute over property that involved a TSTC student. According to the spokesman, during the dispute, $300 was taken following an assault.

TSTC police made the arrest and transported Murphree to the McLennan County Jail on a charge of robbery.
