Authorities arrested a man for fleeing the scene following an accident on I-35 Saturday afternoon.

Christopher John Enriquez was arrested and charged with failure to stop and render aid after an accident on August 31.

According to police, the accident happened about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, as a brown Chevy pickup was heading southbound on I-35. The pickup ran into a Nissan Sentra, which had three people inside, and the Sentra was pushed into a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The driver of the pickup, later identified as Enriquez, fled the scene of the accident. His truck was found crashed into the median near the Mayborn Museum on the Baylor Campus. Enriquez was seen running towards the Riverwalk with blood on his face.

He was found a short time later and reportedly was belligerent to officers. Enriquez was taken to a local hospital and kept overnight because he was injured.

Enriquez was then transported to McLennan County Jail and charged with failure to stop and render aid after the accident.
